Is this project still active ? I see not too much active development and also all the links to https://www.strapdata.com are down.

I answered this question myself after a bit of research: it seems that Datastax continues to do what it has been doing for a long time (trying to shut down almost all solutions that compete with their paid version). They bought the Strapdata and hired the author, just to close this project. The same policy applied years ago with Solandra.

Conclusion: another great opensource software solution out of the market.
