What needs to change
Update ChatGPT integration via MCP guide — the flow has changed and several details are outdated:
- Logo size limit: ChatGPT now requires the logo to be below 10 KB. Jan provided a compliant version (
apify-symbol-colors-margin-small.png, 9.4 KB) in the Slack thread.
- Auth: The guide says you need an "Apify API token", but that's no longer true — OAuth is supported and preferred. Update the auth section accordingly.
- Enabling Apify for an organization: Add a section explaining how to enable the Apify connector for a ChatGPT organization.
- Default description: Provide a better default connector description, e.g. "Extract data from any website with thousands of scrapers, crawlers, and automations from Apify Store".
Why
The integration flow on ChatGPT's side changed; the current docs don't match what users see.
